Bio

Nicki Jenkins (she/her/hers) is currently the Senior Program Specialist for the Parent and Family Association at the University of Kentucky where she welcomes, educates, and connects with parents and family members of undergraduate students with the goal of supporting successful student transition, retention, and persistence to graduation. Prior to her arrival at UK, Nicki served in various roles supporting student and family activities at the College of Charleston, the University of Maine, and NC State University. She recognizes the critical role parents and families play in supporting students and enjoys being able to contribute to their successful transition to college.

Nicki has a master’s degree from the University of Maine and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Higher Education. She has previously served on the AHEPPP: Family Engagement in Higher Education National Conference Committee (2017-2019), serving as the Committee Chair in 2019. In 2020, Nicki helped to coordinate AHEPPP's first Virtual Summit and is currently serving as a mentor and a member for AHEPPP's Board of Directors.

In her spare time, Nicki loves to collect mid-century modern furniture and enjoys exploring new places with family and friends.
