Bio

Hi!  I started working for the University in 2000, as a dining supervisor.  My first supervisor told me the "3 and out" rule - stay in a job for 3-5 years, then move to different job or location to stay fresh.  The first year, you learn the job and the second, the job learns you. By the third year you should be in a symbiotic relationship and risk becoming stagnant.  I prescribe to this rule and have started something new every 3-5 years or so, staying fresh and staying energized!  I've been in residential dining and facilities, conference management, conference sales, catering, and orientation.  I'm about to start a brand new family office and all of this previous experience is coming in handy when working with families.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, son (who is attending MSU) and our dogs, growing fresh veggies and canning them each fall, and during the pandemic have learned to knit and crochet.  I also completed my master's during the pandemic and am proud of that achievement!
